![]() - GAMMA MATCH - Electrical Principle of the gamma-match ![]() - GAMMA MATCH - The GAMMA-Match Is a simple method to transform balanced or unbalanced feed-lines to fit element caracteristics. A problem with the gamma-matching method is the fact that you get a restricted band-width only suitable for mono-band antennas. In this section i only describe balanced dipoles to unbalanced feed-line matching. (To match balanced to balanced you really only have to double the gamma match on both half of the dipole) The Unbalanced Coax-feed line is connected with center-core at point A and sheild at point B,- The transmitted power is feeded to the gamma-rod via the capacitor. Then on to the corresponding impedance point on the dipole element. - Simple Gamma ROD- The gamma-rod is made out of aluminum tubing with sutable diameter,- 10-16mm, lenght should be calculated with the formula: Formula: ((300 x [CF MHz]) /12) x 1.2 CF is the drive element center frequency This gives that a gamma-rod for 11meter (27.555) Should be about 1meter long <-- Go Back! ![]() ©1999/2000/2001/2002 SM2YER Goran |
