    - Why a 3 element 'DUAL' SpitFire' -
The general idea of this antenna is to get a low price dual polarization antenna for both local Long distance communication and DX-use in one antenna.

The advantages for this solution mainly consist of the possibility to use one antenna mast, and one rotator.

    About the principle
Ok! main principle of this antenna is realy simple, it is to use low price (simple to build) standard Yagi antennas and to modified or rebuild them into the X-Yagi Solution. Itīs just as simple as that!. Switching between the two polarizations is made by two standard coaxial feed-lines and a manual antenna switch box e.x. The Mod. V2 or Mod. V3 from Zetagi

    This is what you need...
This antenna is as simple to build as two standard 3-Element Yagi antennas at the same time, and then mount al six elements on the same boom.

    1. Manufacture the elements according to the description for the standard 3-Element Yagi Note! Make the Boom about 30cm taler (longer) than on the standard 3-Element Yagi.

    2. Mount the 2 reflectors in 90dgr angle to each other.

Refere to the standard 3-Element Yagi for detailed information about how to build this antenna.
